Naveed is the Chief Executive Officer of Goldteam UK Limited which he set up in 1997 whilst contracting in an electronics manufacturing organisation. Naveed's primary responsibility is to oversee the whole organisation and take the lead responsibility for sales. He has developed his sales and management skills over a 20 year period. After gradually developing the contract in the electronics company to sole supplier status he identified the need for companies to find good quality candidates and cost effective recruitment solutions. Naveed gained significant experience whilst working in various positions for Blue Chip companies such as Alcatel, Racal and Panasonic where he successfully set up and managed an outsourced team of PCB assemblers and QA personnel for Racal Instruments. Naveed setup Goldteam Recruitment Limited in August 2002 and since then Goldteam Recruitment Limited has grown into an established successful business and has ambitious plans for growth in the medium term. Using his expertise gained throughout his career, Naveed wants to continue to Innovate and develop simpler and more cost effective solutions for Employers and Candidates in line with Goldteam's mission statement.
Rafiq Chohan Managing Director
Rafiq is an experienced business adviser having been trained by Warwick and Durham University Business Schools and has advised mainly growth potential and growing companies over the years. He has helped businesses in business planning and strategy, people management, markets and marketing, operational and financial management. Rafiq also spent 15 years in local government as a senior manager responsible for economic development and was Vice Chair of the Chief Economic Development Officers Society representing 60 unitary and county authorities and was Chair Elect in 2010 before taking early retirement from local government in early 2011. He is also a Governor at East Berkshire College one of the UK's largest and most successful colleges and a board member of the Slough Business Community Partnership. He has a particular interest in employment and the development of skills to support growth and competitiveness.
Usman Ahmed Technical Director
Usman is responsible for business processes, operational management and the development and implementation of technology. Upon successful completion of his BSc. Information systems from Brunel University, Usman joined Goldteam and has been instrumental in the technical advancement of the organisation as a whole. As well as ensuring robust IT and telecommunications networks operate seamlessly for our operations in the UK as well as overseas offices he has led the development of our innovative award winning platform "Goldtime". Usman possesses an in depth vision of technology led recruitment solutions that show global potential for the organisation as well as raising the standards and establishing a benchmark standard within the recruitment industry. Technology and innovation are a key component in Goldteam's USP in the market place.
Umar Ahmed Finance Director
Umar Ahmed comes from a successful entrepreneurial background where he established and managed wholesale and retail operations. Umar is trained to use SAGE Line 50 accounts and to design Sage management reports. Since Umar's arrival two years ago he has developed and led the accounts team to ensure Goldteam operates robust accounting practices and that reflect prudent financial management. Umar's contribution to Goldteam's progression has resulted in improved management practices that deliver efficiency and increased profitability and allow the organisation to make better informed strategic decisions. This demonstrates sound control of management accounts which has improved planning, forecasting and budget control. His contribution will remain critical for the future growth and expansion of Goldteam.
Mike Walmsley Non-exec Director
Mike has over 20 year's recruitment experience and is considered to be one of the UK's leading recruitment experts. He was instrumental in growing the successful international recruitment business Parker Bridge, where he was one of the initial drivers before subsequently becoming Managing Director and helping to grow the company to over 100 staff in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Mike is the Chairman of Recruitment Training Productions and through them has authored & presented the world's largest recruitment-specific DVD learning & development video range. He is an expert guest speaker at annual conferences throughout the world and has given keynote speeches and addresses at 4 of the world's largest recruitment association conferences: NAPS, RCSA, APSO and the REC (USA, Australasia, South Africa and UK recruitment associations).
Alan Coates Non-exec Director
Alan is an executive with many years of board-level experience in the food-and-drink and not-for-profit sectors.
Alan spent over 30 years with United Biscuits, 18 of which as a Board Director specialising in sales and marketing, as well as manufacturing and corporate affairs. After taking early retirement in 2002, he spent 6 years working for Business in the Community as an Account Director. Simultaneously he took on the Chairman's role at Park Royal Partnership, where he has completed 7 years in the post. He is a Trustee of the John Lewis Partnership Foundation and the charity Fareshare, Chair of the Ealing and Hillingdon Educational Business Partnership, and a non-executive director of William Murray Communications.
Alan lives in Windsor with his wife Susie, has three adult children and is a keen football and cricket fan with a passion also for National Hunt racing, travel, good food and fine wine. He holds a 2-1 degree in Economics from Hull University.
