This year’s Annual Christmas Dinner and Dance was held on Friday December 5th 2008, at Baylis House in Slough. The Goldteam staff and their guests were asked to arrive at 19.00, for Dinner starting at 19.30.

The food, once we had collected it, was well prepared and cooked, and for our Muslim colleagues, the meat courses were strictly Halal. In general the fare was very tasty and wholesome, but the caterers slipped up though, on the chocolate pudding in white sauce, which it transpired was liberally laced with Brandy! Naveed’s wife, Sonia, spotted that before too long, and consequently there were a lot of portions of that particular dessert left untouched, on our group of tables.

The entertainment for the evening was provided by a local DJ and Disco initially. This session was followed up by a female impressionist, who did a reasonable impersonation of Madonna. Later, more Disco and an Elvis Presley look-alike did his best to emulate the King of RnR! All in all, quite a convivial evening for the troops!
