There are three excellent candidates for consideration this year, each of whom in their chosen fields, demonstrate very high achievement indices. These three are Ruqaya, Usman Ahmed and Yasar Rafiq. After much deliberation it was determined that Ruqaya is our Number Three, Yasar becomes our Number Two and so Goldteam’s VICTOR LUDORUM for 2008 is Usman Ahmed, CIS Manager and "Goldtime" Supremo.
In First Place
Usman Ahmed, in addition to his normal duties of managing and overseeing maintenance of Goldteam Recruitment’s growing office client/server installation, with all the associated communications links and equipment, has also been commuting between our UK head office, and our second office in Asia, based in Lahore, Pakistan, where he has effectively been managing a team of eight, systems analysts, programmers, and coders., all working on the design, development and implementation of our powerful new IT tool, the "Goldtime" application. In doing this to a very critical timescale, he has motivated the Lahore team into a coordinated efficient software house, no mean achievement. We are very fortunate in having such dedicated people, and with an effective and focused leader to drive them to success. Well done Usman and the Asian team!
In Second Place
You all may recall that Yasar came first, as Employee of the Year for 2007. Yasar (He’s the man!) Rafiq, as usual on the top of his form, just narrowly missed the ultimate accolade for his performance in our sales campaign and for the strong motivation and efficient management of his busy team. Worthy of mention in this context are the very long hours of work, including most weekends and the callouts on emergencies, all part of the job in our Industrial Division!
In Third Place
Ruqaya, a relative newcomer to Goldteam, has been involved in ensuring two of our accreditations, "Investors in People" and the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance award are secure for another year. She has also been putting in excellent work on our database of candidate’s paper files, ensuring accuracy, completeness and faithful compliance of our records, and worked on the operational implementation of Goldtime.
