The current financial market turbulence has required many organisations to be flexible with their workforce, creating a massive opportunity for recruitment companies, something Goldteam have already experienced. Furthermore, the AWR has little impact on the UK’s recruitment levels, contrary to initial concerns that companies would revert from using temporary labour.
REC’s chief executive Kevin Green said that the recent implementation of the AWR has not dented employer’s demand of temporary labour and according to Green, “Although temporary billings have contracted slightly over recent months, the latest figures show an improvement on December. This confirms that there is still little evidence that the Agency Workers Regulations have had a significant impact on hiring and employers are still making considerable use of flexible working arrangements."
Large scale events such as the Olympics Games this summer will also continue to assist the growth of the recruitment industry.
In light of these considerations Goldteam have experienced a great start to the year, with revenues up by 15% and the expansion and refurbishment of our offices in Slough beginning to take shape.
